Unit 24 Private Land Hunts: Unlike the standard hunting operation we offer an experience without the interference of guides, hunt at your own pace with access to all the necessary amenities. You are the only guest/s on the ranch during the season in which you purchase a hunt.

The Flat Tops is home to the largest heard of elk in North America.

Hunting at the Three Crown Ranch

We are available to assist you as needed, but we often find that clients embrace the freedom our packages offer.

Crooks Park sits beneath the Flat Tops Wilderness Area mountains, and offers a paradise for elk with lush vegetation, several ponds, and Crooks Creek. Blinds, regularly cleared walking trails, and easy access on foot or by ATV to hunting spots provide simplicity and accessibility.

Access to a large walk-in freezer connected to a covered area with game hooks and a steel processing table allows hunters the option of cutting their meat at the ranch. If you prefer to have your meat processed for you, located in the nearby town of Meeker is a processing company that can package and freeze your meat for you.

2021 Pricing & Dates

All 2020 hunts have been booked. Our prices do NOT include the cost of tags. Prices do NOT change based on the number of hunters. For example, if you book a bow season hunt for $15,000 total, you can bring up to four bowhunters. If you bring 4 people it will cost each hunter $3,750, for 3 people you each pay $5,000, for 2 people you each pay $7,500 etc. The same structure applies for the four rifle seasons. Each rifle season costs $20,000 total and you can bring up to 6 people. If you bring 6 people it will cost each hunter $3,333, for 5 people $4,000 each, for 4 people $5,000 each etc.

Rifle and bow hunters that come to hunt bull elk can obtain the following for no extra charge: Second private land cow tag, up to two bear tags, and a deer tag. Rifle hunters who buy two elk tags can arrive early allowing them to hunt cow elk on private land two days prior to the regular season opening. Colorado issues unlimited second and third rifle bull tags, which guarantees you a bull tag if you reserve a hunt.
